I was very touched in reading your prayer request. Sometimes I think that as humans that we can get so wrapped up in everything, that we can put God, our Father, Maker of Heaven and Earth in a box on a shelf. (May you forgive us God when and if we do this). (This is in our own wants and desires- the agenda the path that we have set for ourselves).
But, God our Father knows us inside and out- He says in a song taken from Psalm 139, "Don't you know that I formed you, before you were born I knew you, can't you see that My plans for you are good."
When we step out of His umbrella and try to do things our own way, we can make some doozies of mistakes.
(I speak out of experience for relationships that I have tried to create).

"They that wait upon the Lord, shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings as eagles. They shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint; teach me Lord, teach me Lord, to Wait." Isaiah 40:31.
